Genspark review: an AI workspace for your business paperwork

6.5/10Provisional: not yet tested hands-on

Genspark is a handy all-in-one helper for the documents a new business needs, such as decks, research and spreadsheets. But the free plan runs out for good, and Genspark's own pages contradict each other about AI training, so switch off its AI Data Retention setting on day one.

What it does, in plain English

Genspark started in 2024 as an AI search engine and relaunched in April 2025 around a "Super Agent". You ask for something ("make a 10-slide pitch deck for a mobile bike-repair service") and it plans the work, researches and produces the file. There are separate tools for slides, docs, sheets, deep research and fact-checking. It reported fast growth after the relaunch and raised a $275M Series B in November 2025.

Pricing

Converted at £0.7492 per US$1 (ECB reference rates, 26 Oct 2026). Genspark charges in USD, so your bank may add conversion fees, and VAT may be added. Checked 26 Oct 2026 on Genspark's help centre (its pricing page needs a login).

Plan Monthly Billed annually
Free £0. 100 credits a day up to a lifetime limit, 1 GB storage n/a
Plus ~£18.72/month ($24.99), 10,000 credits a month, 50 GB ~£14.98/month ($19.99), or ~£179.80 a year
Pro ~£187.29/month ($249.99), 125,000 credits ~£149.83/month ($199.99)
Team ~£29.97 per seat a month ($40), minimum 2 seats ~£26.22 per seat a month ($35)

Plus and Pro include a weekly "Free Quota" that runs standard-mode tasks without using credits. What it really costs a beginner: about £15–£19 a month for Plus. UK buyers get a 14-day refund window, provided they've used less than 50% of the plan.

Pros and cons

Pros

Cons

Ease for beginners

You type what you want in plain English and get a finished file, which is very beginner-friendly. The confusing part is the billing language ("credits", "Free Quota", "Standard" and "Ultra" modes, "core" and "flagship" models). Our advice is to stay in Standard mode until you understand what costs credits. Genspark says a blue bar shows when a task is covered by your Free Quota.

Privacy and data handling
